JEFF BEAL'S NEW YORK ÉTUDES LIVE STREAMING FROM HUNT HILL FARM

Welcome to Hunt Hill Farm for an evening where music history meets innovation, featuring the multifaceted talents of composer and musician Jeff Beal, a five-time Emmy-winning composer and his debut as a Steinway Artist. In this exclusive concert, Beal will perform his celebrated “New York Études” on the iconic Steinway CD199 piano. This legendary instrument, known as “Old 199,” has been a favorite of piano greats like Bernstein, Horowitz and Rachmaninoff, and now finds its home at Hunt Hill Farm, thanks to the efforts of Ruth and Skitch Henderson.

The Steinway CD199 boasts a rich legacy, having been a important asset for the world’s greatest pianists during their most memorable and important performances. Today, Jeff’s performance continues this storied tradition, offering an exquisite blend of historical significance and contemporary artistry. Composed in Manhattan after Beal’s relocation in 2021, the “New York Études” are a deeply personal collection of ten solo piano pieces. They reflect Beal’s resilience in the face of Multiple Sclerosis, showcasing the transformative power of music in enhancing neuroplasticity and promoting wellness.
